Free Mercury Lounge Show = New Musical Interest and Annoying A&R Types

Thanks again to my sister for this posting, who always pulls through with her record label contacts to put us on the press list.I am usually her trusty plus one.

Tonight we saw Laura Marling at the memory lane that is the Mercury Lounge. She's a pixie-like blonde with a voice that sounds above & beyond her 20 years of age. I fear that she could get ruined/hyped like Feist, but not that commercial. Her lyrics could very well save her.Here's hoping that there are no ipod commercials in her future.

If it wasn't for the A&R jerks with their shots of whisky and group talking, it would have been the perfect short set. I was even happier to be home by 9.30pm. Gosh, I am old.
