Lately

I haven't been riding my bike as much as I planned this summer. Just too darn hot. Since the weather was finally better , I went for a ride. Last night I set out to take pictures in Redhook & gawk at this weird submarine docked at the cruise terminal, and of course I get down there to find that my Polaroid was out of film. Typical. Instead, I watched the sunset over Lady Liberty, marveled at a pack ( or is it a school?) of dead jellyfish , as well as spot Lily Taylor & her family playing at the Valentino Pier Park. Sidenote: That's my second Brooklyn sighting of her in a month.

But I also found out that I really CAN ride my bike to Ikea now. Super excited about that. Not that I can fit a couch, etc., in my little saddle basket. But hey, it's better than getting stuck in traffic.

And now that the f*^&#^ Real World is setting up shop down there, I made a vow to get on the show just to tell them how much they are ruining everything by being there. They belong in Williamsburg, dammit. Viacom is evil for shooting this show at all, let alone in Redhook. I knew it all along; it was just a matter of time before this area was ruined. Does that possibly make Ikea evil, as well? Perhaps.

So once the show airs, keep your eyes open for a feisty blonde on a blue bike making a scene in the background. I'm sure I'll end up on the cutting room floor.....
