Style with Elsa Klensch

I do need to post items about fashion week. But more on that later.

As for Style, says wikipedia, this  was a program that was produced from 1980 to 2000 on CNN. The program dealt with fashion and design from around the world and was hosted by Australian-born Elsa Klensch. The first episode of the program featured interviews by Klensch with Halston, Martha Graham, Andy Warhol and Liza Minnelli. In other words, brilliant.

Of course it was a favorite of the Bauer sisters in our formative years.Our eyes were glued to the tv to see her reports, while we were deep in the pine barrens of Medford, NJ. I wish the show was still on, but at least she was there to explain the wild world of fashion to teenage girls like me.

Sad to say there is not much to share in video form for now, but here is a clip. Note Elsa's description of the models as "She Devils", and an special guest appearence from Morris the Cat. Must be the late '80s.
