Token Fashion Week Blog

Blogger made it to MBFW Fall 09, thanks to CS.

See annoying explaination to teen/tween set of who Mick Rock is.

"There is no better pick than bright young it-things Peaches Geldof, Cory Kennedy, and Byrdie Bell to model the rock n' roll inspired Alice + Olivia Fall 09 collection. Brian Boulos and legendary photographer Mick Rock, the man noted for his David Bowie portraits and for "shooting the 70s" photographed these trendy twenty-somethings, and as designer Stacey Bendent explains, his style "captures the aesthetic of my collection and adds a bit of punk rock to the girliness." The collection also came to life last night at the presentation on themed "character sculptures," as well as on live models. Poster girl Peaches also made an appearance and snacked on some Nerds while posing for paparazzi, as well as photographer Mick Rock himself. The collection is inspired by jet setting bohemians who mix the punk of Paris with laid-back LA and preppy New York aesthetics. Watch out for vintage inspired prints and leather jackets. The cherry on top? Alice + Olivia has introduced accessories, and expect a website to enter a cyber space near you soon!"

Glerg, indeed.

After downing 2 glasses of champers, ample air kisses, and "Hello Dahlings" from the "legendary" MR, blogger gets infuriated upon viewing Kim Kardashian. Plus, that young kid who plays the little brother from Ugly Betty, the seemingly ever present Ali Hilfiger, and other b-list celebs who walked past said blogger. Blogger also has no idea who b-list celebs were until viewing them on multiple websites the next day. Oops. Blogger and photographer friend then leave event due to boredom and early call time, thereby missing more important celebs, like Moby and Paris Hilton. Damn. Double Damn.
