As you know, I try to incorporate my one true love ( art) with my always and forever love ( pop culture) for my blog topics. Elizabeth Peyton's work seems to do the same.
My coworker went to this recent museum opening , brushed elbows with MJ ( who is also a fan & collector of her work ), and I was instantly envious.
I digress. Take a look here, as this NY Times review is a good one, and a fair assessment of her mid-career show at the New Museum.
From her showing, this portrait of KC is one of my favorites. Enjoy.
